Space Assignments
The City of Excelsior has a number of residential docks, buoys, slides and canoe/kayak rack spaces. Applications for the docks, buoys, slides and canoe/kayak rack spaces are assigned in the following order: 
  • Renewals
  • Residents of the city in the order of their receipt

Wait List
The City keeps a waiting list of residents who would like to be a dock program participant. There are typically about five spaces that open each year, however, the actual number of slips that turn over each year varies. Click the link below to see your position on the wait list. (Note: Non-Residents may apply to be on the waiting list, however, the City will not allow a non-resident to rent a dock space until all Residents are off the waiting list.)

Lake Jurisdiction
The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District is the governmental entity that has jurisdiction over Lake Minnetonka. The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District (LMCD) was created under enabling legislation in 1967.

The District is governed by a Board of Directors composed of one member appointed by the city councils of the 14 cities surrounding Lake Minnetonka. These cities include Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Minnetonka, Minnetonka Beach, Minnetrista, Mound, Orono, Shorewood, Spring Park, Tonka Bay, Victoria, Wayzata, and Woodland.
