[ARCHIVED] Sidewalk Snow/Ice Removal

The Public Works Department is asking for your help in the removal of snow and/or ice from the sidewalks.

With the recent weather, sidewalks remained treacherous due to snow and freezing rain thereafter. The City Code, Chapter 16-39 Subd. (b) 1 and 2 requires the occupant or property owner to remove snow or ice from the sidewalk within a 24 hour period after a snowfall or precipitation.  Commercial properties are required to remove snow or ice from the adjacent sidewalk within a 16 hour period.

With the recent warm-up, conditions are best to try and remove snow and built up ice to allow residents and visitors to safely travel throughout the City.

Your cooperation in maintaining a safe sidewalk is greatly appreciated!
