[ARCHIVED] Xcel Energy Update on COVID-19

Scammers posing as utilities have been active in their efforts to take advantage of nervous customers during COVID-19.  Xcel Energy (and likely any other public utility) will not cut off service with a phone call.  If a customer receives a suspicious call, they should hang up and reach out to us via the internet, mobile application, or contact information found on their bill.  Xcel Energy’s website has links to help customers impacted by the pandemic to work out a payment plan.
