Residential Moorings

Docks, Buoys, Slides & Canoe/Kayak Racks

Space Assignments

The City of Excelsior has a number of residential docks, buoys, slides and canoe/kayak rack spaces. Applications for the docks, buoys, slides and canoe/kayak rack spaces are assigned in the following order:

  • Renewals
  • Residents of the city in the order of their receipt

The City’s mooring policy explains the terms of use of the City’s docks, buoys, slides and canoe/kayak rack spaces. View the Excelsior Mooring Policy (Adopted 12-5-22) (PDF)

Wait List

The City keeps a waiting list of residents who would like to be a dock program participant. There are typically about five spaces that open each year, however, the actual number of slips that turn over each year varies. View the Resident Dock Waitlist (07.20.23) (PDF) here to see your place on the list.

If you are a resident and would like to be included on the wait list, fill out the Dock Waitlist application here. Once received, your name will be added to the list.
