Available Parking
Free parking is available to the public in the East Lot behind the buildings on the east side of the 200 block of Water Street (see map below). The municipal lot (East Lot) has an area for six-hour parking (striped with yellow paint) and three-hour parking (striped with white paint) between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, Memorial Day through Labor Day. Outside of those times, there is a 12-hour restriction in the six-hour areas.
Free On-street parking along Water Street is also available but limited to two hours. Additionally, several downtown merchants provide their own parking.
Additional parking is available on Second Street between Center Street and Morse Avenue and Third Street between Center Street and Mill Street.
A handicap permit, as defined by state statute, will allow individuals with physical limitations to park in handicap parking spaces as well as pay to park areas.
